CARE - IN PERSON - A Common Bond

This is a care group for adults impacted by a significant other or family member who struggles with addiction and recovery. Whether your struggle is current or you have lost a loved one to addiction, we welcome you! We aim to study the Bible together through book studies and grow in our relationship with God while feeling safe and comfortable to also share with each other about our life experiences. This group meets at the church on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month from 7-8:30pm. Their next study will be Don't Give the Enemy a Seat at Your Table by Louie Giglio. Unpack Psalm 23 to offer insight into how to overcome the enemy's lies and find peace and spiritual security in any circumstance or situation. We’ve all been in circumstances that cause our minds to spin with thoughts that are unproductive, destructive, and harmful. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder why we keep falling into the same thought patterns. We need to recognize these thoughts are not from God, but from an enemy lurking who wants to seize every opportunity to lie his way into our minds. This study offers biblical guidance on how to: • Cancel the lies that will wreck your life and take the empowering steps to live fully alive in Christ • Restore peace and rest in your life by taking authority over your thoughts • Break free from the endless cycle of destructive thinking and recapture your emotions • Embrace the true purpose behind your journey through challenging circumstances You can find freedom from the battles in your mind if you allow Jesus, the Good Shepherd, to lead the battle. Learn how to find encouragement, hope, and strength no matter what valleys you face.
